UKTV is a partnership between BBC Worldwide and Virgin Media.
From period romance such as 'Pride & Prejudice' to the swashbuckling exploits of 'Sharpe', UKTV Drama is the home of quality British television drama and international films. It also offers classic crime and detective series with 'Silent Witness', 'Dalziel And Pascoe' and showcases some of British TV's most famous faces: Miss Marple, Judge John Deed and Inspector Lynley.
The channel started life as UK Arena in November 1997. It was later relaunched under a new name - UK Drama - in March 2000. The name was revised again on Monday March 08 2004 - to UKTV Drama - as part of a rebranding exercise across the entire UKTV network of channels.
