UK Horizons launched on November 01 1997.

The UK Horizons schedule featured various genre from the BBC: factual entertainment; travel and adventure; real-life docu-soaps; history; natural history; documentaries.

In addition to recent BBC One and BBC Two ratings winners, UK Horizons invested in exclusive original productions and specially-extended versions of popular programmes such as 'Top Gear GTi' and 'Tomorrow's World Plus'.
