Sky Three was launched at 5pm on October 31 2005.
The channel airs BSkyB exclusive content previously shown on Sky One, with delays of between twelve to eighteen months. The initial programming lineup included the third season of '24', drama 'Cold Case' and Paul McKenna's 'I Can Change Your Life'.
The post-launch schedule also included a mix of programmes from Sky Travel, as well its teleshopping service; the 'Soccer AM All Sports Show' from Sky Sports; 'Live At Five' from Sky News; and some content from Sky Movies and Artsworld.
Sky Three's presentation is based on that used on Sky One.
