Monday February 02 2004 and the ITV News Channel gets a brand new look. Silver and icy blue are the dominant colours on the new set which includes an impressive cinema-style news wall.

David Mannion, editor-in-chief of ITV News, claimed the set "marries reality and virtual reality in a way that hasn't been done before." He added that "rather than simply build a conventional studio with a giant, flat news wall within it, here the news wall is the studio. This will be our window on the world giving us impact, drama and scale like we have never seen before."
