The ITV 1 Christmas ident first appeared on Christmas Eve; it's final outing was just before midnight on New Year's Eve.
The Hive created this year's ITV 1 Christmas graphics. The logo's blue and yellow blocks transformed to become animated "fairy-light characters" that jumped around the screen. The CGI images were incorporated into the channel's idents and break stings. Creative director Phil Hurrell and senior animator Howard Bell created the CGI figures using Softimage XSI and were assisted by Flame artist Glenn Cone.
