September 1989 - September 1993
Idents [1]
In autumn 1989 - for the fourth time in five years - RTÉ One's on-screen look was adjusted. The new look was created in-house by designers Hilliard Hayden, Fióna Burke and Alan Pleass. The '1' logo design introduced the previous year was retained, with minor alterations; however, the colour scheme changed to a warmer gold.

Unfortunately, we don't have much footage of RTÉ One presentation from this period in our archive. If you have recordings of continuity links/presentation from this period, or recollections of presentation from these years, we'd be delighted to hear from you. Please refer to the Contact Us page for details of how to get in touch with us.
