Idents 3
Channel 4 updated its on-screen look again on January 01 2002 with the introduction of a narrative aspect to the 'moving bars' theme. The idents, designed by Spin, included vapour trails, flickering tube lights, a beating heart and sound waves.
The daytime idents and those featuring Channel 4 personalities were retained. All other idents from the 1999 - 2001 period were withdrawn.
The style of the 'now/next' programme information used on Channel 4 idents since April 2001 was revised slightly in early-May 2003; a larger font size was introduced.
