The regular BBC One announcing team stepped aside on Thursday evening November 17 2005, to make way for the voice of actor Tom Baker. The former Doctor Who star performed a number of spoof continuity announcements between 7pm and 9.30pm, heralding the return of comedy series 'Little Britain', in which Baker plays the role of the narrator.
The continuity links were scripted by 'Little Britain' stars Matt Lucas and David Walliams. Baker performed in the style of the show's narrator.
