Above: BBC One ident - Tai-Chi Rotation. First shown at 8pm on Monday June 16 2003. This symbol was withdrawn within months. The decision followed a number of complaints from viewers who claimed that the rotation motion made them feel dizzy.

Above: BBC One ident - Maasai. Launched at 7pm on Monday January 05 2004 just ahead of a new series of 'Big Cat Diaries'. The Maasai warriors were filmed in Africa by the 'Big Cat Diaries' team.
Above: BBC One ident - Tumbler. First shown at 9.15am on Tuesday January 04 2005. The soundtrack on this ident was replaced towards the end of its first week on air (however, BBC Scotland continued with the original soundtrack).
At around 1.10am on Saturday October 07 2006, the rhythm and dance idents made their final appearance on BBC One. They went out in style, with Network BBC One treating us to a compilation of the idents on air during the 2002 - 2006 period (with the exception of Haka and Tai-Chi Rotation).
